Dark Mirror. Lateinamerikanische Kunst seit 1968
Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, Wolfsburg, Germany

Encompassing more than 150 works from the Daros Latinamerica Collection, Dark Mirror provided a wide-ranging and multi-faceted view of contemporary art in Latin America.

Topics such as cultural imperialism, gender identity, social criticism, and political power as well as reflections on nature and urban existence were examined via a great variety of media: installations, objects, paintings, photographs, videos, and works on paper.

This extensive selection of works shed light not only on parallels to European art history of but also on specific Latin American developments, particularly since the 1960s.
